1) 10th Script Fiesta Screenwriting Festival
How to write a great script? This is the fundamental question of this festival. You can look for the answers together with the screenwriting authorities. The event abounds in workshops and meetings dedicated to both complete amateurs and people with some experience in the field. We are keen on the screening of “Never Gonna Snow Again” (shown at the Venice festival) along with a later case study with Małgorzata Szumowska and Michał Englert (Friday, from 19:00) and a workshop with Jim Ulhs, screenwriter of “Fight Club”, preceded by the screening of this film (Saturday, from 15:30). After the weekend, the festival goes online with workshops devoted to, among others, differences between scripts for series and scripts for audiobooks.

2) Food trucks
The food truck festival season will kick off in Gocław. Among the delicacies present at this festival, we particularly recommend Sea Side Street Food and their brand-name sprats and hot dogs from Doggy Style.

There will be a sister event on the other side of the Vistula too, called the Food Trucks and Craft Beer Festival. Make sure you try African specialties from Afrykasy. If you can try to get to a blind beer tasting at Kilka Słów o Piwie on Saturday at 17:00 and Sunday at 17:00.

3) Spring Markets
Shopping can combine business with pleasure. Przerób-My – the festival of handicraft, upcycling and good design offers more than the possibility of buying hand-made wonders. If you want to use the workshop offer, the workshop on creating self-watering pots from GROHE and the workshop for creating spring decorations from Ryobi Polska seem incredibly promising. There rare skills to acquire that can become an interest or a passion, and maybe even a well-paid side job.

Alternatively, you can go to the Spring Design Fair WZORY. There you will find products of both Polish and Ukrainian designers and craftsmen. Let’s see what the capital has gained in this regard by accepting 200,000 refugees. It is also a way to show them support, chitchat, and help in finding their place in the Polish market.

4) Jam session at Piwna Beczka
Warsaw’s improvisation scene is strong but probably slightly underrated. You can hear the quality of the capital’s artists on Friday in Mokotów with a good beer in your glass. The event is a permanent feature of the Piwna Beczka timetable on Friday. Whoever remembers the legendary jams in Klub 55 from a decade ago knows that on such a night broken funk beat can quickly and smoothly turn into salsa, which after a while becomes a heavy trap. Just insane!

5) Outdoor Yoga is back!
Regular readers know that we are fans of doing yoga in parks. That is why we are pleased with this year’s first practice in Łazienki Królewskie with Dorota Kobos – an instructor we truly appreciate. In case of adverse weather conditions, the classes will be moved to the warm interior of the Łazienki Królewskie Museum. However, if the morning sun shines a little, there is no nicer way to start your day than yoga in Łazienki and a picnic breakfast on the grass.
