An unorthodox weekend is ahead of us. We will watch an opera in Hala Koszyki, and in Służew, we will celebrate International Beaver Day. For more extraordinary ideas for the weekend, check out #Warsawesome.

1) Opera in Koszyki
It turns out that you don’t have to go to the opera house to watch Giacomo Puccini’s “La Boheme” performed live by an international cast. What’s more, you can eat well before, after and even during the performance. An intimate spectacle will be staged in Hala Koszyki. We are curious how this format is going to work out. Fingers crossed for such crossovers!

2) Food trucks
The second edition of the food truck festival will come to Ursynów. Among the delicacies present this week, we recommend Flammaster flatbreads and vegan crepes from Francuska Robota.

3) Attractions at the Służew Culture Center
We must admit that the weekend in Służew is going to be interesting and diverse. Start your Saturday with a guided walk dedicated to beavers in Dolinka Służewiecka (beginning at 12:00, meeting at the amphitheater). It is difficult to imagine a better guide on such topics than Mr. Roman Głodowski – founder and president of the Our Beaver Association. Seriously, we guarantee that Mr. Roman can talk about these animals in a captivating way. And all this as part of the International Beaver Day; FB event.
At the same time, Ukrainian Easter cuisine workshops will begin in Wspólny Ogród of SDK. Importantly, most dishes will be vegetarian or even vegan. At 15:00, strollers will be able to join the cooks, when the prepared dishes will go onto the big banquet table. After lunch, from 17:00, Maniucha & Ksawery will strike the first notes in a concert of Ukrainian folk songs; FB event.
On Sunday, April 10, another guided walk at 12:00. This time, Mr. Sławomir Kasjaniuk – member and volunteer of the Warsaw Group of the Polish Society for the Protection of Birds – will talk about the birds of the Służewiecka Valley; FB event.

4) Markets
From an in-depth analysis of weekend events, it appears that for Easter a gift should be bought: a) in the spirit of zero waste and b) for a pet. Where will it get most interesting?
- at Elektrownia Powiśle (ul. Dobra 42) at the Jestem Vintage Market. There will be stands of 60 retro stores with clothes, CDs, books, and accessories. At the SPRING Market held at the same time, we will see new collections from Polish and foreign designers and brands of jewelry, natural cosmetics, eco and zero waste products, design, and home accessories.

- Natural Cosmetics Fair Ekocuda in the Expo Hall (ul. Prądzyńskiego 12/14). This year, workshops and lectures are coming back. We are particularly interested in the one by Kasia Konopa from the Cosmetics Without Cruelty Association on how to recognize and distinguish vegan and natural cosmetics.

- at Centrum Praskie Koneser (Koneser Square) at ZOO Market, i.e. a zero waste fair. At the stands, there will be natural cosmetics, clothes, and accessories, vintage and vinyl records, jewelry, handicrafts, candles and fragrances, ceramics, prints, and posters.
when: Saturday and Sunday, April 9 and 10, from 11:00 to 18:00
- at Hala Gwardii (Plac Żelaznej Bramy) on Dog & Cat Day. The offer includes accessories, feed, toys, and premieres on the pet market. Of course, you can go shopping in the company of both two- and four-legged companions.

5) Concerts for Ukraine
Finally, we encourage you to combine pleasure with charity. This weekend, there are three occasions to go to the concert and support organizations that help Ukraine and Ukrainians.
- on Saturday, April 9, at 16:30 on the stage of the Social House at ul. Obozowa 85, the Anti-War solidarity concert will begin. The line-up includes. Kuba Sienkiewicz and the iconic Warsaw-based band – Trawnik; FB event
- also on Saturday, but at 18:00, at the Włochy Cultural Center (ul. Chrobrego 27), a charity concert by the Ukrainian band Trio will begin. The band members are Artur Mikhailov, Oksana Reka and Viktor Reka. Arthur was a soloist of the Zaporozhye Cossacks choir. He also performed as the leader of the rock band Apogeum. Oksana and Viktor played in the Rekosta band; FB event.
- on Sunday, April 10, from 18:00, at the Okęcka Sala Widowiskowa (ul. 1 Sierpnia 36a), there will be a concert of Italian and Polish artists and vocal groups from DK Włochy. Stefano Terrazzino isamong the performers; FB event.
