1) Get Audioriver-ready

Friday evening is a treat for fans of electronic sounds. Start in Ochota with a party on trampolines, fluorescent body paints at Fluo Party in Airo Active Park (FB). Then, on Smolna you can move to the legendary Fatboy Slim beats (FB). Finally, quickly commute to Praga for the party announcing this year’s edition of the Audioriver festival.

2) Watch the 1st edition of HER Docs Film Festival

Finally, we have a festival that will show the best documentaries directed by women. The program includes 60 films of both experienced and debuting artists from Poland and abroad – most will be presented to Warsaw audiences for the first time. The festival is accompanied by a performative event Czułość (FB).

When: Friday, March 6, from 18:00 to Tuesday, March 10, at 21:00

3) Shop at Wege Festiwal

Since Warsaw is a leading vegan city, a vege festival has been looming around for some time. There, you will get vegan products from Polish producers. Except for food, you’ll also find natural cosmetics, clothes, and accessories. There will also be a two-day Jestem Slow market at the Praga Koneser Center in the similar spirit of responsible local production (FB). On Saturday, from 10:30 on Grójecka 109, you can give away your unnecessary things, and in return choose something that others no longer need. In this way, we limit the garbage – as the slogan of the event goes”Exchange, do not throw away” (FB).

4) Dance to the beats of the avant-garde of Polish female DJs and producers at Panie Proszą Panów

This is the third edition of the festival presenting the most talented DJs and producers on the Polish techno and electronic music stage. This year expect performances from INA WEST or Instytut Dźwięku. As the event takes place in Kino Luna, one of the attractions will be a room with silent films screened non-stop. A truly unique event that you simply have to attend.

When: Saturday, March 7 from 23:00 to 06:00

5) Eat and drink through the Women’s Day

You can eat well in Hala Koszyki every day and it will be no different on March 8. However, on this day you will be able to delight in occasional drinks based on Lillet liqueur – a bona fide US sweetheart. All that to the music of the DJ collective Katz and Krucza and the piano duo MarKato. If you feel like sweets, go to MUUS, where you will enjoy a cream cake with rose water, raspberry jam, crumbs of roasted white chocolate and edible orchid, several types of tartlets and pink vinho verde (FB). At the end of the day, drop by to Kufle i Kapsle for the premiere of the sweet pastry sour IPA Warsaw Dreams (FB).

6) Wine is the key to set your inner painter genius

Unlimited inspirations in the form of wine and snacks will await you on Friday evening at Hala Gwardia. The goal of your artistic passion is to create a painting you will hang in a prominent place in your home. The number of participants is limited, therefore registration is required. The participation price is 150PLN.

7) Tango on a milonga in POLIN Museum

On the account of the premiere of the “Polish Jewish Tango” album, the curators of the project – dr Tomasz Jankowski and dr Katarzyna Zimek – will introduce you to the world of pre-war Polish-Jewish popular music from Syrena Records label. Next, there will be nothing better to do but crank up the volume and invite the dancers to the milonga. It’s worth a try, because, in the end, when will you tango in the POLIN Museum again?

8) Cherish the hip-hop underground of Warsaw on Strefa Rapu

Strefa Rapu concerts allow you to appreciate the level of Warsaw’s hip-hop underground. This time 6 artists will showcase their talents. Free admission.

9) Find the soundtrack for your days and nights on Warsaw CD and Vinyl Market

10) Decant new IPA from Funky Fluid

Warsaw is a craft beer El Dorado, therefore, as every week, we recommend an event where you can chug premiere drinks from local breweries. This time it will be several types of IPA from Funky Fluid to try in Absurdalna.

11) Walk in the XXI Warszawska Manifa

Every year at the beginning of March, a feminist Manifa passes through the streets of the capital. This year it is on Women’s Day and advocates protection and respect for the environment.

12) Lunateque is 3

Lunateque celebrates its third anniversary since Loons took their gallant flailing steps in Warsaw.

14) Make Pierogi (Traditional Polish Dumplings) from scratch

No trip to Poland is complete unless you try the famous Polish dumplings. Or, even better, learn how to make them yourself.

The name of this dish probably derives from the Polish verb “to drink”, making pierogi the ultimate choice for party food. The class ends with pierogi lunch or dinner, so we strongly advise you to come hungry.

15) Learn how to make Polish Liqueurs

During our class, you will learn how to make 3 different mouthwatering liqueurs – honey with spices, lemon, and caramel. Taste them at the end of the class and take home three 100 ml bottles (maximum onboard allowance).
