1) Juwenalia pt.2
After the University of Warsaw, Warsaw School of Economics, and Warsaw University of Technology, the time has come for the most interesting Juwenalia event of the year, which was created by the combined forces of UKSW, MUW, APS, and AWF. The stage will host Kękę, Brodka, and Zalewski, among others. By far the best line-up of the year. Tickets for 20, 30, or 40 PLN.

2) The World Exhibition of Orchids, Bonsai, and Succulents at the National Stadium
Thousands of the most wonderful orchids, over a hundred-year-old bonsai trees, and phenomenal succulents from around the world will harmonize in an amazing symphony of colors, shapes, and scents at the National Stadium. We will be able to marvel at the real wonders of nature from the farthest corners of the globe, outstanding masterpieces of bonsai masters, unique gems of orchids and the peculiarly cruel beauties of succulents. The exhibition is accompanied by the Giants Attack – Festival of Insectivorous Plants. The event is even more interesting thanks to interesting lectures, shows and various performances that add splendor to the whole idea of the Exhibition. We especially recommend a workshop with Włodzimierz Pietraszko – a certified International Bonsai Trainer (Saturday and Sunday at 12:00).
The event is accompanied by PLANTPORN, a collector’s plant fair, where you will be able to find rare specimens both for your garden and your home.

3) Empik’s Book Fair
The fifth edition of the largest book fair with the participation of Polish and foreign authors is already underway, although its history dates back only to 2020. How is it possible? Well, Empik organizes the fair that brings together the most important book premieres of the season twice a year! John Flanagan, Vincent V. Severski, Gregory Davis Roberts – these are the first names from a long list of authors visiting the event. You can watch the meetings with Polish and foreign writers at Facebook.com/empikcom. Readers should also check out dozens of premieres, special offers, and opportunities to get an autographed book and many other attractions.
when: until Tuesday, May 31
4) Opening of the Summer Season on the Vistula – Cultural Diversity Day
Warsaw wants to be close to the Vistula. Unfortunately, the city authorities finally wrestled “schodki” from us, but they want to give something in return. Importantly, this year, the Diversity Day flag is flying over the opening of the season on the Vistula River, so the main idea is mutual transnational, supra-denominational, beyond-orientation understanding.
All events planned for the weekend will be focused around the Czerniakowski Port. The water offer includes training courses and workshops in sailing, rowing, stand-up paddle, and canoeing. Workshops for the whole family will take place ashore – from embroidery, through screen printing, to dancing. They will be available in summer club-cafes located between the Bulwar Flotylli Wiślanej and the Czerniakowski Port. In Grunt i Woda, Pawilon Fala, Miami Wars and Miejsce there will be also a special Polish-Ukrainian weekend menu.
The heart of the event will be at the stage on Płyta Desantu. We will see a performance of the Grand group from Urzecze, but also great folk groups – Polish Sutari and Go_A – the star from Kiev.
when: Saturday, May 21, from 10:00 to 18:00 and Sunday, May 22,
where: near the Czerniakowski Port
5) 25th Science Picnic
The largest open-air science picnic in Europe allows you to understand and learn about science, showing it as an extremely exciting and fascinating area of life, by presenting interesting experiments and experiences – both simple, related to archeology or physics of low temperatures, as well as the latest achievements of modern scholars. Since 2001, the Picnic has a leading theme, and this year it will be water – the source of life, an object of fascination for artists and scientists. It is also said that water is the “oil of the 21st century” and without a doubt it is water that will be the trigger of the biggest conflicts of the future. Therefore, we particularly recommend workshops on reducing your water footprint (Presentation Section at 15:00). In addition, 50 exhibitors from all over Poland will present their fascinating experiences related to water at the festival area. It is worth learning about water, regardless of age. We recommend it to everyone!
when: Saturday, May 21, from 11:00 to 20:00
where: Copernicus Science Center
6) Millennium Docs Against Gravity
The 19th edition of the largest documentary film festival in the capital continues in cinemas until the end of the week. After that, all films will be available to watch on the mdag.pl platform until June 5. The program includes over 170 unique films from around the world, Q&A sessions with the most important documentary filmmakers, workshops, discussion panels, a music part, and open-air shows. Our favorites this year are:
- “Navalny” – awarded by the audience of the Sundance festival, which is a record of real events in the life of the most famous Russian opposition activist.
- “I get knocked down” about the Chumbawamba band – authors of the iconic “Tubhtumping”. What’s more, Dunstan Bruce, one of the group’s leaders, will play a DJ set at Cafe Kulturalna.
- “Behind the door of the Uffizi Gallery”, which will take us to the famous Florentine Medici Treasury

7) Holidays in Sicily with yoga and kitesurfing
We also remind you about our kitesurfing and yoga trip to Sicily. We are flying there for eight days: from 2 to 9 July. We will be based in BirgiVecchi – a charming village with amazing kite conditions. We are sleeping in studio apartments with local hosts. The daily schedule will open with yoga practice with our favorite teacher – Dominika Gryz, and then kitesurfing at Rock’n’Ride Camp. There will be one more yoga session in the evening to regenerate the body and mind. In the meantime, we will be serving Italian delicacies made on the spot, from local products. We will also go on trips. Register today, tell your friends and let’s go!
All information and the registration form can be found in the FB event.
Especially for you, we have extended the registration of participants until the end of May.
