Thousands of the most wonderful orchids, over a hundred-year-old bonsai trees, and phenomenal succulents from around the world will harmonize in an amazing symphony of colors, shapes, and scents at the National Stadium. 4) Opening of the Summer Season on the Vistula – Cultural Diversity Day

Warsaw wants to be close to the Vistula. Unfortunately, the city authorities finally wrestled “schodki” from us, but they want to give something in return. Importantly, this year, the Diversity Day flag is flying over the opening of the season on the Vistula River, so the main idea is mutual transnational, supra-denominational, beyond-orientation understanding.

All events planned for the weekend will be focused around the Czerniakowski Port. The water offer includes training courses and workshops in sailing, rowing, stand-up paddle, and canoeing. Workshops for the whole family will take place ashore – from embroidery, through screen printing, to dancing. They will be available in summer club-cafes located between the Bulwar Flotylli Wiślanej and the Czerniakowski Port. In Grunt i Woda, Pawilon Fala, Miami Wars and Miejsce there will be also a special Polish-Ukrainian weekend menu.

The heart of the event will be at the stage on Płyta Desantu. We will see a performance of the Grand group from Urzecze, but also great folk groups – Polish Sutari and Go_A – the star from Kiev.

when: Saturday, May 21, from 10:00 to 18:00 and Sunday, May 22,

where: near the Czerniakowski Port

5) 25th Science Picnic

The largest open-air science picnic in Europe allows you to understand and learn about science, showing it as an extremely exciting and fascinating area of life, by presenting interesting experiments and experiences – both simple, related to archeology or physics of low temperatures, as well as the latest achievements of modern scholars. Since 2001, the Picnic has a leading theme, and this year it will be water – the source of life, an object of fascination for artists and scientists. It is also said that water is the “oil of the 21st century” and without a doubt it is water that will be the trigger of the biggest conflicts of the future. Therefore, we particularly recommend workshops on reducing your water footprint (Presentation Section at 15:00). In addition, 50 exhibitors from all over Poland will present their fascinating experiences related to water at the festival area. It is worth learning about water, regardless of age. We recommend it to everyone!

when: Saturday, May 21, from 11:00 to 20:00

where: Copernicus Science Center
