1) Warsaw Gallery Weekend 2020

During the Warsaw Gallery Weekend, you can visit exhibitions as well as talk with artists and curators during debates. The most awaited event is the premiere of the book “Plundering the Ruins of Reality” by Twożywo collective – pioneers of sticker art and winners of the 2006 “Polityka” Passport.

2) Warsaw off ART 2020

If you value witnessing artists at work more than seeing the fruits of their labor, the second major art festival this weekend is the event to attend. It allows you to see where Piotr Ambroziak paints his urban art or how Magda Fokt creates her installations exploring the connection between nature and humanity.

When: Thursday, October 1, to Sunday, October 4

3) New Visions of Reality 2

The third art festival this weekend focuses on the new media and the relationship between art and technology. The lecture “Why digital co-creation should become the new normal?” by Katerina Cizek (MIT Open Documentary Lab, winner of the International Digital Emma) seems particularly interesting. The entire festival is available online only.

4) Skimboard tricks about to go down at Aquatica Beach Bar 

This weekend there is only one thing you should know – skimboard is a type of a shortboard that allows you to glide on the surface of quite shallow water. The gifted ones can even perform Tony Hawk-ish tricks on that! That begs for a spectacular event.

5) Clown Invasion – 1st European Clown Festival

Clowns cause extreme reactions – from laughter to fear. On Saturday, you will be able to admire their craftsmanship when they’ll ride their circbus full of joys and surprises around the Koneser Square (from 12:00). Then all enthusiasts of the clownsmanship will set off in a colorful parade with the artists of the Warsaw Circus of Magic and Baloney.

6) Streetart party in BarBazaar

BarBazaar took over the Praga event scene by force. Wednesday’s jam sessions are a hit. On Sunday, the ARTEMANIACY collective will create a mural on the premises. You will also be able to chat with the artists and learn more about murals, sticker art, and posters. Drinks, street food, and good music are a given.

7) WARSAW UNDER CONSTRUCTION 12. Something in common

The WARSAW UNDER CONSTRUCTION Festival has so far dealt mainly with architecture and urban planning. This year the organizers had a slightly different idea. They ask a simple question: what is the Warsaw community like? We will look for answers together during debates, workshops, and walks.

When: Friday, October 2 to Thursday, October 15

8) Food on Wheel’ Season Finale

The last weekend of food trucks’ presence at the National Stadium. To bid your farewell go for a chorizo ​​hot dog or dim sums with tofu, celery, and coriander.

9) The Africa Festival in Mokotów

Do you want to learn to dance to African rhythms and play djembe? Or maybe you just want to get decorations and jewelry straight from Africa? If your answer was “YES” at least once, you already know where and when to go.

10) Warsaw Traditions on Your Plate

We love recommending events exploring Varsovian identity and tradition related to food. Here we have pure gold: the series of seven meetings devoted to the culinary traditions of Warsaw. The first meeting will be devoted to the Vistula fish that once reigned over Warsaw’s palate. Registration needed.
