Warsaw is starting to organize anew its cultural and entertainment scene, so we recommend events in both the real and virtual world. If you decide to leave the house, remember to obey the rules of social distancing and put on masks where the regulations require it. Last but definitely not least, have fun and enjoy the blooming summer.
1) European Heritage Days
European Heritage Days provide free access to monuments and other cultural sites that usually are subject to fees or otherwise unavailable to visitors. Accompanying events include concerts, exhibitions, historical festivals, presentations of dying professions, lectures, fairs of art and craft products. Within the Warsaw area you can choose from Museum station, Life Under Communism Museum and the exhibition “Plants on the Way to Independence” in the Botanical Garden in Powsin among others.

2) Millennium Docs Against Gravity
You can still attend the biggest Polish documentary film festival until Sunday. In addition to screenings, there are also debates and meetings with the masters of the silver screen. Saturday will also bring an opportunity to dance it all off in Kulturalna during a 90’s themed silent disco.

3) Warsaw Ice Cream Festival
If you love ice cream, this is the place to be. For three days, Pasaż Wiecha will be occupied by stands with the best artisan ice cream. You can also expect an ice sculpture show, circus workshops for children, and a soap bubble show.

4) Custom Festival in Elektrownia Powiśle
Elektrownia Powiśle deserves praise for organizing outstanding events that fit into the trends. This weekend, they teamed up with apparel manufacturers to run customization workshops (from t-shirts to shoes). There will also be a pinball zone, film screenings and silent disco waiting for the participants.

5) Wilanów Days
The last weekend of Wilanów Days seems interesting. You’ll start off on a Vege Market, kids can attend lessons by Marcin Gortat Camp. In the evening you can get the mellow feeling at Anna Maria Jopek concert, or bounce to Poparzeni Kawą Trzy beats. It is also one of the last chances for open-air cinema enthusiasts – “Fuga” will be screened on Bricoman’s roof.

6) The tastes of Germany in Fort 8
Workshops, wine tastings, games for children, field games, interactive stands, and an open-air cinema will immerse you in the flavors, landscapes, and culture of Germany in Fort 8. If you have not been there yet, it is a place worth visiting if only to see the spectacular revitalization of the Fort from the beginning of the 20th century.

7) Museum in the Bush in Jazdów
The Asia and Pacific Museum is one of the capital’s most underrated cultural attractions. This time, they are opening a residence in Jazdów to present an exhibition of photographs from the 1950s – 1980s from China, Nepal, Pakistan, Vietnam and Indonesia. The photos have been selected to show photographic details and imps, e.g. the effect of double exposure of celluloid. We encourage you to go to Jazdów and to the museum’s headquarters in Solec.

8) Inaugurate the Cultural Year in Ursynów with Th/Free Concerts
Ursynów definitely plans to become the most culturally active district at the turn of 2020/2021. From Friday on there will be one concert every day – first folksy Wolna Grupa Bukowina, then, on Saturday, legends of sung poetry Czerwony Tulipan, and on Sunday – folk-pop from immensely popular Kwiat Jabłoni.

9) Food Truck Festival in Atrium Promenada
We love food trucks, so our list must include their biggest rally this weekend. In the Atrium Promenada car park, you can delight in Japanese udon, churros, burgers, hot dogs, and chicken boxes.

10) Sports section: squash for free
Every week we recommend a new free sport activity and this week it’s time for squash. Kangur Klub offers two squash courts for free and provides rackets and balls. If you want to be sure that you will manage to play – make a reservation by calling 570 100 570.

11) Warsaw Cocktail Workshop
