1) Grzesiuk Festival 2020

The festival celebrates Warsaw’s greatest bard through concerts of Varsovian folk (featuring Heniek Małolepszy and the Ludwik Sarski Orchestra, Czessland, and Nicponie), play entitled “Ferajna” based on Grzesiuk’s bestselling novel, and a city game for families. You can also participate in this year’s festival online.

2) National Sports Day

It’s as simple as that: you can take part in free i.e. bowling, golf, fitness, cycling, and capoeira training sessions. Except for live events, the organizers have prepared dozens of online sessions. The whole event will be preceded by the Great Warm-Up, in which registered participants will join forces in the battle for the title of the Sports Province 2020. Viva la Mazovia!

3) Polish Wakeboard and Wakeskate Championships 2020

A real treat awaits the enthusiasts of spectacular water sports. The Polish Championship in wakeboarding and wakeskate guarantee spectacular tricks and high flights over the smooth waters of WAKE WAWA. You can also take part in an open beach volleyball tournament, a wakeboard market, and fitness training.

4) 24th Science Festival

The Science Festival is a great opportunity for intergenerational explorations of the hottest topics in science this year. The program includes debates and meetings with scientists during which you will find out what the potential of quantum computers or what the next pandemic will be (good to know in advance). There will also be, for example, a helicopter simulator and painting workshops.

5) Summer Intercultural Academy in Jazdów

 

Representatives of many cultures will come together at one table to create soy candles and macramé. Then the conversations will move to another table filled with delicacies from the participant’s countries of origin. You need to register before the event.

6) Long Live Paper in Elektrownia Powiśle

In the shopping-focused version, you will find dozens of vendors presenting writing tools, stationery, graphics and art, magazines, and books. If you are hungry for more, we recommend ebru workshops (a spectacular Turkish method of painting on water) and bookbinding workshops, on which you can make a notebook from scratch.

7) 2nd Birthday of Warmut

WARMUT is famous not only for spectacular models of famous Warsaw buildings hanging from the ceiling but above all – for home-made vermouth and vermouth-based food. If not hungry, you can go to the second floor and play pinball machines or board games there.

8) Autumn in style – Polish Designers’ Fair Och! Bazar vol. 29

In a nutshell: niche Polish fashion, beauty, jewelry, design, handicraft, and accessories brands will present their ideas for the coming autumn. The popularity of previous editions proves that they know what’s what.

9) Jah Love Crew closes summer at Boogaloo Beach Bar

It can be difficult to believe, but this week we are not recommending any silent disco. For a change, we suggest going to the Vistula bank in Żoliborz. Boogaloo Beach Bar deserves recognition for the positive vibe they bring to the capital’s club scene. Their last event this year will feature Jah Love Crew and their dub-loving sound system.

10) Literary Open Air in Ogród Saski

Those who yearn for a Q&A with writers and books at discounts can’t miss this event. Among the guests, there will be Jakub Żulczyk, Wojciech Chmielarz, and Grzegorz Piątek.

11) Warsaw Cocktail Workshop
