Watch falling stars at Copernicus Sky Planetarium

On the night of the 12th of August, the Perseids meteor shower will be at its peak.

Although Bieszczady and Mazury are by far the best places in Poland to spot “fallings stars”, the Copernicus museum – in cooperation with the “Zarząd Dróg Miejskich” – is doing whatever is in its power to improve our viewing experience.

On this night, they’ll switch off the illumination of the Copernicus Museum and its surroundings, some bridges (Świętokrzyski, Śląsko-Dąbrowski and Poniatowski), and the National Stadium.

The Copernicus Sky Planetarium will probably be your best spot in the center of Warsaw. If you want a much better experience, however, pack and leave the city. You could, for example, go to Top-Kajak (60 km from Warsaw). The sky there is much clearer than in the city.

Manufaktura Cukierków is popular for making all sort of quirky candies, like the one you see in the picture above. The smell, the colors and the atmosphere in the store will probably make you feel like a kid again.

For two consecutive days, every hour, they will organize lollipop workshops. The kids (and adults alike) will be challenged to create their “dream lollipop”.

Your kids will be delighted. Thank me later 😀
