1) December 25: The Nutcracker

The Toruń Symphony Orchestra will present us with a concert of music by Georgi Sviridov and Piotr Tchaikovsky. A truly worldwide Christmas classic.

Andrzej Jagodziński is a leading Polish jazz pianist, best known for his interpretation of Chopin’s music. This time, he unravels the secret of Johann Sebastian Bach’s captivating polyphony. Let’s hear what that really means.

3) December 27: performative concert of Afterglow

The concert is based on the poem Afterglow by Chaim Nachman Bialik, known as the national bard of Israel. Music is an integral part of the performance, constituting the layer responsible for the development of the drama, creating and resolving tensions. Adam Woronowicz will perform as the narrator, and we will hear psalm, duduk, and zither among the instruments.
