30 Fun Things To Do In Warsaw in Spring and Summer 2018 (most are FREE!)
Ah, sweet spring, you’ve arrived! Warsaw gains so much energy when the warmer months arrive. There are endless things to do in Warsaw in spring (and summer).
Everybody wants to be a Varsovian in Spring.
From April to August we can finally expect some warm days, so take out your calendar and prepare yourself to take some notes (or you can just bookmark this article 😉 ). Get the most out of your Varsovian warm season, it won’t last long 🙂
This list starts with the “classic” events, which happen every year in Warsaw (from April to September) and follows with a calendar of 2018 events that we are really looking forward to.
If you feel like these ideas not enough, you can always embark on an adventure or a cool experience (which we constantly seek out for you).
Enjoy a Free Chopin concert in Łazienki Park
The free concerts are held every Sunday from May 14 until September. It is allowed (and recommended) to bring a blanket. Do not bring a bike or pets.
Thanks to the use of several speakers, the quality of the sound is great.
Awesome local food at the Breakfast Markets
Outdoor dining is super popular in Warsaw. The breakfast markets are a great idea to try regional delicacies from local farmers.
The first outdoor Breakfast Market will be back on the 24th of March, despite the snow!

The Multimedia Fountain Park Shows
The Multimedia Fountain Park is an amazing show which uses light, water and sounds to enchant thousands of viewers every year.
This year’s fountain shows will start in May (on Friday and Saturday at 21:30) and will run all summer until September.
Experience the Vistula, one of the most vibrant rivers in Europe
Parties, bars, walking routes, bike paths, sandy beaches, wildlife and water sports (find out more things to do in Warsaw at number #30). There are two sides of the river, one is wild and untamed (the Praga side) and the other is cemented (the Centrum side) but super cool nonetheless, with great parties and floating bars. Which one will be your favorite side?
Go for a bike ride along the “Sunny Route”
A great bike path is the “Sunny Route”. It runs along the right bank of the Vistula River. It’s quite unique because you will be immersed in wild nature even if in the middle of the city. Over 8 km forest and beaches to enjoy on your Veturilo bike! You can access the bike path from the “Most Łazienkowskiego” (Łazienkowski Bridge), at the Rondo Waszyngtona (Waszyngtona Roundabout).

Jump on a kayak and tame one of Europe’s coolest rivers!
You can rent one for 1h for 20 PLN, find out more about it here (website is in Polish). If you feel more adventurous, go here and book an extended Kayak trip (even a few days trips).

FREE yoga classes at Lazienki Park? Yep. Every Sunday from March now until the end of September! During the winter months the classes move inside the old Orangery in Lazienki Park.

APRIL 2018 IN WARSAW
07.04 – GRAND BAZAR – fashionable trade fair
GRAND BAZAR is a cyclical event organized on two floors of the historic Department Store Braci Jabłkowskich.
During the next edition, there will be over 100 stands will designer clothes, accessories, jewelry, cosmetics and home accessories.
14.04 – Vintage Day In Luna Cinema
The spring edition of the vintage fashion fair at kino Luna will bring you light, floral and colorful timeless pieces of clothing from the best shops in Poland.
14.04 – Hip Hop Festival Warsaw
An impressive audio-visual event and the biggest Hip Hop Festival in Warsaw.
17.04 – BEER. Home Brewing Workshop and Tasting in Craft Brewery (in English)
Learn how to get started brewing your own beer and, more importantly, sample several delicious craft beer directly from the beer tank. If you had to buy all the beer you’ll drink in a normal shop you’d spend a fortune, but if you go to the source, beer is cheaper.
20.04 – Warsaw Comic-Con, III edition
This is a convention that centers around comics, movies, tv, cosplay & costumes, gaming, and overall entertainment. It is a huge event where you can meet several famous characters from your fav movies and series.
In the past edition, for example, there were Game of Thrones’ characters like Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson (the Mountain), Carice van Houten (Lady Melisandre), Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy), and Walter Charles Dance ( Lord Tywin Lannister). But there will be more than “just” Game of Thrones stars.
EPIC ARCHERY BATTLE – VOL II (Warsaw)
After the success of the past edition, how could we not repeat?
The “Epic Archery Battle” is a battle with real bows and arrows conducted in a safe and exciting environment.
21.04 – Record Store Day Warsaw – 2018
A music fair, where you can find a wide range of Pieces of vinyl from 40 exhibitors from all over Poland – record stores, music labels and independent exhibitors.
In addition, there will be also vinyl equipment, DJ-sets, concerts, film screenings, meetings, an exhibition of unique album covers by Rosław Szaybo and Stanisław Zagórski, and much more.
22.04 – Tribute to John Coltrane – live jazz music at Harenda
A live jazz music concert dedicated to one of the most important saxophonists in the history of jazz.
22.04 – Bags and Purses Market Fair
The spring edition of the “Torebek Fair” you’ll have the possibility to shop from a huge selection of bags from the best Polish designers.
28.04 – VIII Instrument Fair
The Instrument Fair is an exhibition of acoustic instruments, combined with concerts, workshops, showcases, theatre, spontaneous music-making and an extensive program for children. We present various musical forms and trends, both traditional instruments and innovative ones. In 2017 we hosted more than 120 instrument-makers from 10 European countries.
29.04 – PRL Vintage Flea Market
PRL stuff is becoming pretty cool.
At this flea market you will be able to sell (or buy) whatever vintage, PRL thing that comes to your mind.
Books, clothes, household appliances, decorations, jewelry, electronics, furniture, military items, documents, decorations, paintings, instruments.
MAY 2018 IN WARSAW
04.05 – Majówka
I am sure you’ve heard about Majówka, the super awesome long weekend occurring at the beginning of May. Majowka is a combination of Labour day (May 1), Constitution Day (May 3) and the weekend.

12.05 Old Timer Warsaw. Trade fair of Vintage Vehicles
A trade fair of vintage vehicles where you can admire pre-war cars, motoring legends of the Polish People’s Republic, West European vintage cars and American road kings.
During the 2018 edition, there will be over 1,000 vintage cars and motorcycles.
12.05 Wzory Design Fair
Beautiful furniture, ceramics, graphics, textiles, as well as decorations and accessories designed by young designers and produced by Polish craftsmen!
Everything you need to make your living space beautiful and comfortable.
12.05 Zoo Market / Opening Season
A flea market in Praga (Warsaw) where you can do some vintage shopping while at the same time enjoy cultural activities like concerts and outdoor cinema.
12.05 VeggieWorld Warsaw
VeggieWorld is one of the most important vegan events in Europe, currently taking place in 13 European cities such as Paris, Barcelona, Brussels, Zurich, London, Munich, and Berlin.
In addition to stands filled with vegan food, clothing, and other products, at VeggieWorld Warsaw you will also meet international speakers and take part in inspiring workshops.
12.05 Instytut Techno Party
A huge techno party in an electric power research center?
Imagine thousand people dancing right next to a lightning generator able to produce electrical discharges of 5 MV. That is certainly going to produce an electric atmosphere. Is this just another of the institute’s experiments?
19.05 – Museum Night in Warsaw
On this special night over 200 museums and institutions will be open at night. It is a great occasion to visit familiar places under a different light or unusual quirky institutions that you’d never visit otherwise. The choice is yours, but the popular institutions will be incredibly busy 😉 .
26.05 – Festival of Colors in Warsaw 2018!
Summer and Spring in Warsaw will be filled by Holi festivals. It’s easy to understand why, they are fun, full of happy people, colors, and opportunities for nice pictures.
JUNE 2018 IN WARSAW
22.06 Instytut Techno FESTIVAL!
You probably read about the event in May. Well, this one will be different.
On June 22nd and 23rd, 2018 in the Modlin Fortress (The Citadel of Modlin Fortress) near Warsaw, we will see a massive festival with three stages: MAIN, RAVE, and UNDERGROUND in a completely new, unique scenery.
The whole event will be merging two concepts: Music & Art.
INSTYTUT FESTIVAL is a festival of electronic music, an energy bomb and a whole lot of beautiful emotions, but most of all- You! We are waiting for you in Modlin!
23.06 Wianki nad Wisłą 2018
Wianki Nad Wisłą is a mass cultural event involving pagan traditions, music, and fireworks. The festival was originally a pagan religious event, from which some elements remained e.g. fortune-telling, flower compositions, and wreaths.
In 2018 we’ll see Skrillex on the stage. 🙂

Szkoła Impro and Klub Komediowy are inviting you to spend 4 intensive, inspiring days full of fun and improvisation. You’ll have an opportunity to meet improvisers from Warsaw and other Polish cities, take part in international workshops with professional improvisers from United States, Hungary, Slovenia and Poland and watch various improv shows.
