WARSAWESOME:

WEEKEND IN WARSAW

FEBRUARY 12 – 14

OK, the weekend of love is here. Valentine’s day is not about being in a relationship. It is about showing some love. So feel free to dive into the warm loving feeling. Seriously, make sure to put on some warmer clothes, because the temperatures will most likely remain below 0°C. However, it should get a bit sunny. And it is going to snow. Just to be ready for all options, we are presenting our list of TOP 6 events of the upcoming weekend.

If you would like to receive our weekend guide by email every week, please enter your email address below. Delivery every Thursday.

1) Go ice skating in Centrum Praskie Koneser

Now you can go ice-skating on an open rink in the middle of Praga. If you spend over 20PLN in the mall, the admission is free. In other cases, the fee is 5PLN for 75 minutes. You can rent the skates for 5PLN for 75 minutes, too. You need to skate wearing a mask. Winter classic.

where: Centrum Praskie Koneser – Plac Konesera

when: from Friday, February 12; open every day from 10:00 to 22:00

FB event

2) Praga’s Birthday

Actually, if you already are in Praga you may want to do more than ice-skate. There is a whole selection of workshops, online walks, etc. to celebrate the 373rd anniversary of Praga gaining city rights. Our favorite is a food truck fest with a pop-up market to the beats of DJ sets. We really missed OFF Brzeska.

where: OFF Brzeska – ul. Brzeska 25

when: Sunday, February 14, from 14:00 to 21:00

FB event

3) Photoshow on the walls of the Royal Castle

This is the last call to see the light show on the walls of the Royal Castle. It shows the history of the building from its destruction in 1939 to 1976 when the reconstruction was finished. As it will probably be quite cold outside, make it a part of a longer walk around the Old Town, get some mulled wine and cinnamon rolls. It just might be your take on an old-style romantic classic.

where: Zamek Królewski – Plac Zamkowy 4

when: every day until Sunday, February 14; from 17:00 to 24:00

4) Prep for Valentine’s Day: workshops

OK, let’s make it brief. If Valentine’s Day is to go right, you need to prep.

  • If you want to be cute, register here to make a sweet dried-flowers bouquet. You will have to pick up the materials on Friday in Dom Kultury Zacisze at Blokowa 1.
  • If you are a creative type, leave a comment here. You will hand-make a decoupage gift. That is pretty fancy and you need to go to Galeria Młociny on Saturday at 11:00.
  • If you want to get physical, you can take part in a romantic massage online workshop. Here is the FB event. It starts at 12:00 on Sunday.

Good luck! May that loving feeling be with you.

5) Nosowska live online

Nosowska is a legend of Polish music. She made history with HEY and now she is enjoying a new solo image. On Saturday she will play mainly the songs from her bestselling latest album titled “BASTA”. The streaming is free of course. A great soundtrack for a Saturday evening.

when: Saturday, February 13, from 19:00

FB event

6) Vintage market in Elektrownia Powiśle

Vintage vinyl records, clothes, accessories – all from Polish producers. That is most definitely a stylish spot to get an I-forgot-to-buy-something present for a loved one.

when: Saturday, February 6, from 19:00 to 20:00
