1) 8th Culture Without Barriers Festival

As part of the festival, you can go to museums, art galleries, and cinemas. The leitmotif of this edition will be murals, neon signs, banners, stickers, and various artistic visions observed on the streets of cities and towns. This weekend, check out “Polish holidays that is what and how Poles celebrate” meeting, piano concert in darkness, and “They don’t know our art. Kenyan graffiti” – movie screening and meeting with the director. Some of the events will also be available online.

2) Craft Night 2020

This event is not about beers, tho. It is all about looking behind the scenes of the artisans’ work, visiting their studios, and participating in workshops. The extensive program of workshops includes knitting, leathercraft, painting, and ceramics. Registration needed..

You can aslo visit the exhibition of the best works of Polish craftsmen Full New Moon (FB).

3) Riverlights. Summer’s End Festival by the Vistula

The end of summer on the banks of Vistula. Boats and small ships will sail in the farewell procession, creating a light show accompanied by the sounds of music. You will be able to admire this spectacle from the boulevards and then go to partner events in Miejsce, Miami Wars, Grunt i Woda, Przystań Nowa Fala. Oh Vistula, thank you and we will be back on the first day of spring.

4) Warsaw Dance Festival

On Saturday, the Institute of Music and Dance invites you to free workshops, where you will learn dances from traditional polka, through Japanese butoh, to hip-hop and jazz. Registration is obligatory.

5) Warsaw Regatta

Each major city located by a river has its boat race.The Battle for the Vistula Cup will take place between the Gdański Bridge and the Śląsko-Dąbrowski Bridge, opposite the Multimedia Fountain Park. Thus, boulvards will be the best place to sit with a beer and watch the competition. Before the first run, the crew of the Makabi Warsaw Jewish Gymnastic and Sports Society will make a return after 81 years. A truly historical moment.

If you want to row on the Vistula yourself, you can rent city kayaks for free. Advance booking is required (link).

6) Bielany Bird Day 2020

We have been enthusiasts of Warsaw’s ornithology for a long time.This weekend we invite you to Park Olszyna on Bielany. There, Stanisław Łubieński, a writer, author of bestselling “The Birds They Sang, Birds & People in Life and Art” (recently translated to English) will take us for a guided walk. Apart from that, there will be a common swift drawing workshop, a nature book fair, and workshops for children.

7) Yummy Ursynów

We recommended district foodtruck festivals throughout the summer, so Warsawesome cannot miss the last event of the kind this year. In Ursynów you will devour chicken tikka masala in a bao roll, Israeli comfort food, pad thai, and langos among many others.

On Sunday, as part of the celebration of the Warsaw’s Patron Day, a market with traditional products and regional delicacies will be set up in Park Przy Bażantarni. And Kapela Mazowiecka will make sure the music’s fine (FB).

8) Open air Party in Okrąg

One thing should be really clear by now – this weekend is all about bidding summer a good farewell. If you are looking for a place where you can come on Friday after work for an energizing before, then Okrąg is a great choice. There will be food trucks, yoga and salsation classes, handicraft workshops for children and adults, an open-air cinema and live music. And later you can get anywhere within a blink of an eye, no matter if it is the Center, Pawolony or the boulevards.

9) Tune in to Warszawskie Combo Taneczne

“Warsaw NA NOWO” exhibition probably does not enjoy the popularity it deserves. It showcases 75 photographs that best reflect the atmosphere of the reborn capital of the 1940s. Admission is free, although the event lasts only until the end of the month. At its farewell you will enjoy listening to Warszawskie Combo Taneczne, our favorite band playing Warsaw folk. Janek Młynarski with Grzesiuk’s banjola is always worth listening to. Always.

10) Warsaw Breakfast at the Museum of Life Under Communism

We sang praises to the food at the first edition of breakfasts by Warsaw Food Stories and we are very curious how this event will feel in the new place. In addition to fabulous food, you will learn about the café life of the capital under communism, where it was appropriate to go and what the guests ate. For Ania’s meringue, you can even get up before 9:00 on Sunday.

11) Orbital party with DJ Lunateque

DJ Lunateque will treat you to a mix of Britpop, indie, New Wave, punk, ska, glam rock, and millions more that will keep you dancing all through the night and make you wish you never have to go to sleep again.

12) Warsaw Cocktail Workshop
